Title: Server issues 10/29
Post by: Matt Koeske on October 30, 2011, 11:09:47 AM
All,

My website hosting company had some problems with the server that hosts Useless Science, causing the site to be down all day yesterday, 10/29.  I also noticed that two posts I made on 10/28 have disappeared and are probably not retrievable.  If anyone else posted something on 10/28, it may be lost, as well.  I emailed the customer support team of the hosting company to ask it the 10/28 material can be retrieved, but I am not very hopeful.

It's doubly frustrating, because it means that one of those posts I wrote (regarding my herniated disk) had to be rewritten four times (and I didn't keep a copy elsewhere).

The other post that was lost was an announcement of the death of Jungian analyst and author James Hillman on Thursday, 10/27.  He was 85.  I will try to rewrite one or both of these lists posts.

Apologies for the inconvenience.  I think everything should be working normally now.

Best,
Matt
