Dr. Kevin Keough, interviews Dr. David J. Linden, author of The Accidental Mind: How Brain Evolution Has Given Us Love, Memory, Dreams, and God published by Belknap Press.
David J. Linden, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His laboratory has worked for many years on the cellular substrates of memory storage in the brain. You can see a list of some of his lab’s recent scientific papers here.

One correlation to Jung was Linden's statement that "experience, even in the womb is what hard wires the brain." And Jung, of course, explains that the archetypes are what mediates our experience of the world. This interview runs for more than and hour and half, so you might want to download it and listen either on your computer, or your Ipod type device.
The observations on religion are of particular interest because they correlate to posts made on this site(uselessscience).
