I just watched the French film,
Tell No One (
Ne le dis à personne) last night. It has some symbolic themes and might be of interest to anyone with a Jungian lens. It's an anima story, in essence. Not as purely archetypal as some of the other films mentioned in this section, but I did notice the subtle anima work theme or loss (of the anima) and search/redemption. Some overtly symbolic elements as well (e.g., a stag that leads the protagonist into the woods where his wife and lifelong love and he had carved their initials in a tree). The whole heroic ego/personal shadow/Demon dynamic is prominent and interestingly twisty (but not necessarily condensed and canned for easy psychologization).
And it's an entertaining suspense/mystery/mistaken identity film, to boot.
