Translation of the German verse:

We are the beginning and first nature of metals,
Art by us maketh the chief tincture.
There is no fountain nor water found like unto me.
I heal and help both the rich and the poor,
But yet I am full of hurtful poison.

It is very interesting, that on the coloured fountain emblem, all the stars
have different colours. On other emlems of this fountain, the stars are
all yellow.
The stars have 6 points, a very special meaning hidden in the six points,
other stars on alchemical emblems show seven or five points.
